So, I've added a couple more features to the site today. Hopefully this blog post will find the Heartbeat module working - if you came here by a direct link to the blog post then you may not have seen the front page of the site. At the top, just below the Digsby chat box, there is what will hopefully be a rundown of new blog posts, content and stuff. If it works, I won't have to mention things like that in blog posts, and I'll only inform you via bloggage of new features to the site... much as I'm doing now.

I've also installed the Apture module. I first came across Apture when the BBC were trialling it on their site. I loved it instantly, because it makes life so much easier of you can have a little mini page for info, instead of redirecting your readers to a different site. If you haven't got it on your site, I would greatly recommend it. It's simple to use, unobtrusive, and more likely to keep a reader on your site! Smile

Anyway, Alice is a horse. She is you know! We were watching The Weakest Link earlier, and there was a question about camels. Something along the lines of 'A dromedary has how many humps?' - obviously the answer is one, but ever since then I've had the song 'Alice The Camel' going through my head. I'd blame Alice, but she's only a camel... or a horse... actually, wouldn't a camel without a hump be a llama? Who knows? I like llamas! Lovely, cute, spitty, wonderful llamas. I recently taught Kayleigh to make a shadow llama with her hand. She's only four and still has trouble with hand shadow birds, but her llama is brilliant. We have shadow llama fights - it's great!

I've been reading through bits of my old NaNoWriMo novels, and I realised just how strange and random my writing is. Crazy Example - “Yes, Abby. Helicopter. You know. Big, metal, has rotor blades, takes off in a generally vertical direction.”

Honestly, I have no idea where it comes from - probably from watching too many Leslie Nielson films as a kid.

Anyway, I'm now getting a tad nervous about NaNoWriMo. I've been planning my novel out for several months, and I've wanted to write this particular novel for about seven years, but I just know if I write it as a NaNo novel, it'll just end up a random pile of spuds. How in the holy roll of duct tape can I possibly do that to my sweet little baby novel? I just can't do it! I guess it's back to the drawing board - or maybe I'll just wing it... Puzzled

Anyway, tatty-bye for now.
